Eric S. Eber, a Florida native, manages and operates his practice out of Sarasota, Florida and is able to represent clients throughout the State. Prior to opening the Firm, Eric was an Associate attorney at a boutique law firm in Vero Beach, Florida, where he focused on many areas of litigation, from appellate law, landlord tenant disputes, criminal defense, foreclosures and real estate matters to collections actions, construction and probate claims.After obtaining his Juris Doctorate, Eric initiated his career in the 6th Judicial Circuit for Pinellas County, Florida as an Assistant State Attorney under the late Bernie McCabe. During his service at the Pinellas State Attorney, Eric tried dozens of criminal cases to verdict and prosecuted tens of thousands of cases, ranging from local ordinance violations to punishable-by-life felony crimes. From 2019 to 2020, Eric acted as the Lead Trial Attorney for Domestic Crimes in Pinellas County, as well as the assigned prosecutor for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (“FWC”), where he assisted law enforcement in the protection of Florida’s fisheries and natural ecosystems.
A Bucknell University alum, Eric majored in Philosophy and English Literature. After obtaining his Bachelor of Arts degree, Eric attended Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, Florida, where he sat as President of the Investment & Finance Law Association and was awarded the William F. Blews Pro Bono Service Award. Eric is a member of the Indian River, St Petersburg and Sarasota County Bar Associations. Outside of the courtroom, Eric enjoys boating, fishing & hunting, golfing and classic literature. Eric is a parishioner at Christ the King Catholic Church of Sarasota.
